For the grown-ups nearby

Three ways to make a small story last.

No worksheet required. A calm read, one curious question, and a little practice are enough.

Before

Look at the cover together. Ask what your child notices and what they think might happen next.

During

Pause when a face or choice changes. “What do you think their body is telling them?” is often plenty.

After

Choose one phrase or idea to practice playfully. Children do not need to perform a lesson or disclose anything personal.

Support the shelf

The best support is a story shared.

Buying a book through Apple Books, leaving an honest review, recommending a title to a family, or asking your library about it all help an independent catalog reach new readers.
